"In framing an Artist, Art hath this decreed: to make some good, but others to exceed; and you are her labored scholar...

...Your presence gladdens our days."

The Arts programming at CERIMON HOUSE

is the creative fire in our hearth.

And that essential warmth
encompasses all of the Humanities:
Poetry, Dance, Philosophy,
Theatre, Spirit, Song

and an ongoing celebration of Words.

The blueprint for this space includes an intimate performance venue with both state-of-the-art amenities and a classical grace: a place where past-meets-present, and where the Arts are alive.

We plan to bring you local and national treasures, and invite you to revel in the offerings of theatre troupes and choruses, chamber concerts and recitals, lectures and think-tanks, art exhibits and evenings of poetic intent.

We are certain that The Living Arts provide the necessary nourishment to feed the brain and soul of a nation, and that a civilized country really must prioritize the expression of Culture in its conversation while actively promoting the Humanities in the daily experience of its children and citizens.

written by Emily Bowles of Fractured Atlas.

CERIMON [pronounced "sarah-mon"] is a healer from Ephesus in Shakespeare's play PERICLES. Cerimon's house in the story stands by the sea, and is a place to be restored.
